Do you feel, your relationship can be rekindled, even though your partner made it clear that it’s finished? If you want to know how to win an ex back, here are 4 steps to take.

Step 1: Apologize

Saying sorry is one of the best ways how to get an ex back. Although doing just this may not get your ex back, it is a good start. Make sure you apologize for the right reasons. When the relationship is over, you could easily blame yourself for everything. But you have to remind yourself that it takes both of you to have a happy relationship, so knowing what to say sorry for is vital.

Just whatever you do, try prevent your ex from starting a fight when you apologize. What’s ironic about saying sorry is that it can easily lead to a fight, where more feelings are hurt. If you apologize and your ex brings up a whole new issue, don’t get defensive. Stay relaxed, control your feelings, and keep your pride and ego in tact.

Step 2: Talk things through

If your ex is willing, agree on a time to sit down and talk. Just never beg, plead, or force your ex into meeting you. If they are not ready to talk about the breakup, then go to step 3. If, however, they agree to meet up, make sure you control your emotions. Now is not the time to start another fight. And you need to make this clear to your ex, that you will be blaming them for any wrong doing.

You need to chat about the problems objectively. If you simply talk about the causes without passing blame, you will get a better response. If you can, try get a mutual friend or relationship counselor to mediate the discussion. They will help you work through the issues constructively without a fight breaking out.
